Wedding Saxophonist FAQs
When is the best time to have a saxophonist at a wedding?
Popular moments include the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast entrance, sunset cocktail hour, and evening party with a DJ. Some venues lend themselves more to different parts of the day. I’m more than happy to discuss your initial ideas in a free consultation. Just send me an email to arrange.
Can a saxophonist play during the wedding ceremony?
Yes absolutely — saxophone works beautifully for ceremonies, especially through instrumental covers of meaningful songs.
Music Style & Requests
What styles of music do you play?
Music ranges from instrumental popular songs, chilled background and Ibiza-style lounge to upbeat party and dance tracks, tailored to your event.
Can we choose the music or request songs?
Absolutely. Custom playlists are created for every part of every wedding, to perfectly suit your taste and the flow of your day.
Equipment & Setup
Do you bring your own sound system?
Yes, all professional sound equipment is provided and suitable for both indoor and outdoor performances. I have a couple of professional PA systems including a battery powered one, allowing me complete flexibility on where I can be positioned.
Can you play outdoors?
Outdoor performances are available between April and October the UK, weather permitting. For destination weddings, there is more flexibility. Please note that not all venues have licenses or permits for outdoor amplification of musical instruments. Always check with a venue if there are any limitations, ideally before booking there.
Volume & Atmosphere
Will the saxophone be too loud?
No — volume is always adjusted to suit the space and moment, from subtle background music to high-energy performances. I have performed at all size events from intimate private dining occasions to public festivals.
Corporate & Private Events
Do you perform at corporate events?
Yes, including brand events, hospitality evenings, and private celebrations.
Have you worked with well-known clients?
Past clients include Ferrari, Ipswich Town Football Club, Marriott, Hilton and more
